Color Run: Postponed to October 8
Get ready for lots of colorful, healthy family fun! All Brownsville students and their families are invited to the Bee Healthy Color Fun Run. Come ready to get messy because every lap is rewarded with a splash of color chalk! Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Movie Night: October 21
Don’t miss Movie Night on October 21. Bee families can bring a blanket, picnic dinner, and join the Brownsville community on a Friday night to take in a family movie under the stars. It is a great opportunity to take a break from the hectic start of the school year and ease into fall with a fun community activity. Volunteers are needed for the day of the movie, with a Signup Genius link being sent out prior to the event.

Hive Jive: February 10
The annual Hive Jive is a FREE event open to all Brownsville families. We’ll provide the tunes, basketballs, jump ropes and some light refreshments, so all you’ll need to do is to put on your dancing shoes and let your spirit move you. Casual to Cocktail…rock out in your ripped-knee jeans or get another night’s wear out of that special occasion outfit. Dress up, Dress Down, just come ready to dance. Gym is also open for kids to run around and play. Don’t forget your basketball shoes for our Free Throw contest.

Kindness In Chalk
Kindness in Chalk is a nationwide positivity campaign that occurs annually during October, National Bullying Awareness Month. Early in the morning parents/caregivers meet at the front entrance of Brownsville to spread kindness by covering the sidewalks of school grounds with positive words, phrases, quotes, and images that speak of love, peace, hope, and acceptance. We hope to bring smiles to the kids’ faces and inspire them to pay a beautiful act of kindness forward.

Staff Appreciation Week: May 1–5
During the first week of May, we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week. This is a time where we can show the BES Staff our love. Each day of the week, different treats are given to our staff by the families of students in specific grades; in this way, we are able to involve all families that wish to participate, and make sure that the BES staff knows how much they are appreciated.
